For local searches like "builders near me" or "interior designers in Kochi", the map results appear above everything else. Your Google Business Profile decides whether you show up there.
Choose the right categories
Pick one accurate primary category, such as "Construction company" or "Interior designer", and add secondary categories only for services you really provide. Wrong categories are the most common reason profiles rank poorly.
Fill every field
Add your exact address, service areas, phone number, website, working hours and a short description that mentions your services and the areas you serve. List each service separately with a short explanation.
Add real photos and videos
Upload photos of finished projects, sites in progress and your team. Add a short walkthrough video. Profiles with fresh, real media earn more clicks than profiles with stock images.
Collect and answer reviews
Ask happy clients for a review right after handover and reply to every review. Mention the type of project in your reply, for example "villa construction in Kakkanad", so the page reads naturally for local searches.
Post regularly
Share project updates, offers and completed work every week or two. Regular activity signals that the business is open and active.
Link it to your website
Point the profile to a relevant page of your website, with the same name, address and phone number. Consistency across your profile and your site strengthens trust.
